What is Windows 8.1?

Windows 8.1, being an update, retains the interface introduced in Windows 8 and Windows Phone 8, Modern UI, previously called Metro, but with improvements in terms of performance, customization and user experience. It is an update that applies to Windows 8, and Windows RT for free if you have a license.

Characteristics

-A button to view all applications on the Home screen, in addition to additional touch gestures such as accessing all applications

-Internet Explorer 11 and Outlook 2013 comes installed by default

-Monitoring of network cards.


History of Windows

in 1985 Microsoft publishes the first version of Windows, the first version of Microsoft Windows was not too powerful nor well known

windows 2.0 appeared in 1987 and was a little more popular than the initial, it's popularity was due to its new applications like Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word. But its most popular version was windows 3.0 in 1990 which benefited the graphic improvements of PC for that time
